What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry through a form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and, where the form asks for them, your phone number, the service you are interested in and your message. We use these only to reply to you and to prepare a quote. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a request you have made. If you become a client, we process your details to perform our contract with you.
If you contact us on WhatsApp, the conversation is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy.
We do not sell your data. We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up, then delete them.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Under the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) we need your consent for any cookie that is not strictly necessary to run the site.
We load our analytics and advertising tools through Google Tag Manager (container GTM-MBVBPCNN). Google Consent Mode v2 is set to denied for analytics and advertising before anything loads, so those tools do not set cookies until you accept them. If you ignore the banner or reject cookies, only strictly necessary storage is used.

Third parties
Google (Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager) and Meta Platforms (Facebook Pixel) may process data outside the UK. Both rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge. Their policies explain how they use the data: Google and Meta.
Changing or withdrawing consent
You can change your choice at any time. When you withdraw consent we delete the analytics and advertising cookies this site set, and the tools stop collecting. We ask again every six months, or sooner if the tools we use change.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, and object to how we use it. Email info@octatechhouse.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
