Plumber websites, Google Business Profile and local rankings

Emergency calls, area pages and a Maps listing that matches the van — not a brochure that nobody rings.

Free 30-minute consultation. Written scope within two to three working days.

A plumber’s website has one job: get the right call from someone whose water is on the kitchen floor. Fancy parallax does not do that. A page that loads, a number they can tap, and a Google listing with this week’s hours does.

We build trade sites for plumbers and heating engineers, then attach a Google Business Profile and local SEO so “plumber Stoke-on-Trent” and “emergency plumber near me” have somewhere honest to land. We will not sell you 200 citation sites. We will make the name, address and phone the same on the van, the site and Maps.

If you cover two towns, you get two location pages and one listing per premises — not one page pretending to be a national brand.

Who this is for

  • Sole traders and small firms covering a town or a postcode cluster
  • Gas-safe heating engineers who also do bathrooms and boilers
  • Emergency call-out businesses that live on mobile search after 6pm
  • Firms adding a second van and a second town

What good looks like

The phone rings from Maps

Primary action is call. Secondary is a short form for non-urgent jobs.

Areas you actually cover

Stoke, Newcastle-under-Lyme, the villages you drive — each as a real page, not a footer dump of 40 towns.

Job types Google can match

Boiler repair, blocked drains, bathrooms, landlord certificates — separate pages, not one “services” blob.

The three-part bundle

  1. 1. Trade website

Mobile-first pages for the jobs you take, photos of real work you own, Gas Safe / credentials you supply, and a number that is tappable. Typical WordPress build from £1,200 + VAT.

  2. 2. Google Business Profile

The right primary category, service list, coverage area, job photos and review asks. Set up in your Google account so you keep the 4.8 stars if you change agency.

  3. 3. Local ranking work

Map-pack work for “plumber near me” and “emergency plumber [town]”: consistent NAP, on-page local SEO, and posts when you actually have a job to show — not 50 directory dumps.

The practices behind the bundle: websites, Google Business Profile and local SEO.

What this includes

  • Click-to-call in the header, footer and Google listing
  • Service pages for boilers, drains, bathrooms, landlord work
  • Town or postcode pages you genuinely cover
  • Google Business Profile photos and Q&A
  • Call tracking that survives UK cookie consent

Where we work

We are based at 36 Kirby Street, Stoke-on-Trent, and cover the six towns, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Kidsgrove, Stone, Stafford, Leek and into Cheshire — plus remote delivery anywhere in the UK. The Stoke-on-Trent page lists drive times and the local planning quirks that change how a job gets scoped.

Questions

I already have a Facebook page. Do I still need a website?

Facebook is not a substitute for Google Business Profile or a site Google can index. Most emergency searches start on Google, not in an app they have to log into.

Can you add online booking?

Yes, if you actually want a diary. Most plumbers want the phone to ring. We default to call + a short form unless you ask for a booking tool.

How fast can a plumber site go live?

A brochure site is typically four to six weeks once we have photos, areas and the services you actually offer. Google Business Profile work can start in the first week.
