How much does a website cost in the UK?

By Octa Tech House · Published · Last updated

A WordPress brochure site typically starts around £1,200 + VAT, a Shopify store around £2,000 + VAT, and custom web applications from £8,000 + VAT. The number moves with page count, integrations and how much content you need written.

Those figures are starting points, not a menu. A six-page manufacturer site with no integrations is the WordPress band. A store with collections, payments and shipping is the Shopify band. A portal, configurator or multi-tenant product is the custom band.

Always excluded unless the quote says otherwise: hosting, premium plugin or app licences, stock photography, copywriting beyond page briefs, ad spend, and VAT at the current UK rate. Octa Tech House issues a written fixed quote, not an hourly estimate.
